Today the children have been writing instructions on how to plant a bean. They wrote the aim, the materials needed and the method. Well done Class 3.

We have been looking at the book Jack and the Beanstalk, through the children’s independent learning they wanted to plant beans. So that’s exactly what we did today! We can’t wait to watch them grow.

Today in maths the children have been learning about time. They have sequences their day and have set the time to o’clock and half past on an analogue and digital clock.

Today the children have been creating story maps about Jack and the Beanstalk, but they have been changing elements of the story to make it more interesting.

Today in maths we have been learning about odd and even numbers.

Today the children have been learning about 3D shapes. They have names the shapes, sorted them and they went on a 3D shape hunt outdoors.

Today the children have been learning about the famous Spanish artist called Picasso. They have started to draw their Picasso Pastel Portraits. Miss Cantwell can’t wait to see the final outcome.

This week is multicultural week. Class 3 are learning about Spain. Today we have been writing facts about Spain. The children chose how they wanted to present their work.

Yesterday Class 3 practised six different races for sports day. All the children took part and had lots of fun.

Class 3 tried hard to tie reef knots today. They used these knots to make some great natural picture frames. @Llfiaclass3

Everyone had a fantastic time at the Royal Wedding lunch. The children looked amazing while celebrating in their crowns.

We have been looking at the story Jack and the Beanstalk. Today in literacy the children have been pretending to be Jack and have written letters of apology to the Giant.

Today in maths the reception children have been using stories to find number bonds to 5, and the Year 1 children have been halving numbers.

Today Class 3 have been learning about the book ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The children had to choose a character and then describe that character using powerful and interesting adjectives.

YEAR 2 after school club. In sports club the children have used their pupil voice and have decided on some activities that they would like to do outside this term. However, due to the bad weather we played parachute games in the hall.
