Just this past week, multiple malicious individuals have openly defamed and harassed XINLONG. This includes harassment at an in-person fansign, an online fancall, and continued targeted attacks including the dissemination of his private information on platforms such as Rednote, Weibo, WeChat, Threads, and more. These repeated occurrences have revealed potential, serious flaws in WAKEONE’s current security and management systems.

We formally demand that WAKEONE:
1. Pursue immediate legal action against the perpetrator.
2. Prevent further circulation of XINLONG’s private information.
3. Permanently ban the perpetrator from all future fansign events, fan meetings, and any other artist-related activities or interactions organised or authorised by WAKEONE.

BACKGROUND OF ISSUE
On October 27th, an individual attended an ALPHA DRIVE ONE in-person fansign with the explicit intention to defame XINLONG’s character. During this fansign, the individual instructed XINLONG to utter a phrase that has been used by anti-fan groups in China to attack and defame him. The individual knowingly exploited the fansign environment and XINLONG’s trust in the interaction, fully aware of the implications and potential consequences of the phrase.

Following this incident, other individuals proceeded to disclose XINLONG’s private information and spread defamatory content about him on Chinese platforms underneath her uploaded fansign content. Furthermore, this individual was also involved in deliberately deceiving and scamming another fan, where she received payment to pass on a message to XINLONG yet still proceeded to use her fansign opportunity to attack and defame him. These actions demonstrate a clear pattern of malicious conduct that extends beyond targeting the artist and directly harms other members of the fandom.

The fact that such an individual with malicious intent was able to attend an official event—a setting where artists and fans should be able to interact within a safe and protected environment—reveals serious flaws in WAKEONE’s current security and management systems. XINLONG’s safety, privacy, and dignity must not be compromised, and deliberate acts of harassment, exploitation, and fraud must never be allowed to go unaddressed.

We urge WAKEONE to treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it warrants.
