when i received my job offer i asked if i could get back to them bc i had another offer to consider but it was so i could get off the phone and squeal bc i was so excited, and they called me back five minutes later and offered me 5k more and a better title to drop the other offer
does anyone else think the “true crime” obsession is a little (very) weird and just a microcosm of the wider phenomenon of the spectacle of violence & death (especially when it’s racialized/gendered) that’s inherent to western civil society
i think it's amazing that people are using tiktok to amplify #gabbypetitio in hopes of helping the investigation but im deeply troubled by how much fun some of these true crime girls are having with it. it's not a scavenger hunt, she's a person that's missing and it's horrible
