@NYCSchools @OBWax Why did she commute like that? B/c her local schools were not meeting her academic or other needs, parents' work? Many NYC students commute to avoid underperforming schools. Does virtual school redirect @NYCSchools attn from fixing schools? Do kids need more screen time?

Prepared more students for the academic challenges they will encounter instead of reinforcing low standards & expectations and a dependency on quotas.

@Julio_PenaBK You call it test prep, others call it studying & learning. Materials are free on the DOE website. The difference is desire, drive, responsibility & accountability. That's learning & growth. Its lazy to blame a test vs the supbar education many students get starting at elem school
