🇲🇲 Myanmar's post-coup conflict death toll hits 100,000
More than 100,000 people have been killed across all sides in Myanmar since a military coup five years ago triggered civil war, a conflict monitor said Wednesday. Family members of those killed in the conflict spoke to AFP last month.
“We don’t just want aid. We want a way forward” - this was the message @UN Resident Coordinator & Humanitarian Coordinator a.i. Gwyn Lewis heard during her visit to Shan State, from communities trying to rebuild lives after years of loss & uncertainty.

Appalled by the attack on Mrauk-U Hospital in Rakhine State, Myanmar.
At least 33 people have been killed and 20 injured, including health workers, patients and family members. Hospital infrastructure was severely damaged, with operating rooms and the main inpatient ward completely destroyed.
Mrauk-U People’s Hospital is the primary health care center in the area, providing health and emergency services, obstetric care, and surgical capacity. This attack will disrupt access to health care for entire communities.
This is the 67th attack on health verified by @WHOMyanmar this year.
Every attack on health care is an attack on humanity. Health facilities, patients and health workers must be protected at all times. Stop attacks on health care!
