Everyone involved in the purchase of Brennan fucking Johnson for £35 million should get sacked. One of if not the worst football player I have ever seen #CPFC
Romero in 14 Premier League games, has committed 17 fouls this season and has eight yellow cards, some ratio that.
Yesterday was ridiculous from him but it would be nice if he wasn’t reffed completely different to the rest of the league
Watching Spurs 0-1 Bournemouth back, about 15 minutes in, and I'm really interested in Iraola's shape off the ball against Spurs' build-up, so let me try my best to break it down;
- Against Man City, the main idea from Spurs was to use the 4-2-4 with Sarr in close proximity to Richarlison so they can narrow on the channels [mainly on the right] & win the 1st/2nd balls.
- Iraola responded with a 4-3-1-2-ish press using which meant they could have a consistent +1 against Spurs' forwards [to compete better for them long balls].
- You can see Scott, Palhinha & Evanilson doing their best with their angles to shield and lock off the right side of Spurs' build-up.
- Many times, Bournemouth angled their press to make Van de Ven the spare man; once it was played, the shape would jump to lock off that side.
- Spurs overall have struggled very early on to combine with Bentancur, Van de Ven, Spence & Johnson to get in down the side or work the press enough to go back inside.
