@LoudmouthR @Hilenceee also! it is not “done for the same reasons” women were forcefully cut/mutilated to ‘preserve’ their virginity. they severed all nerve endings and made it unrecognisable, so that the husband could know he was the first. it was painful for women. men are cut for hygiene reasons.

@LoudmouthR @Hilenceee also using the word “mutilating” to describe a boys circumcision is incorrect. mutilating is the disfiguration of a person or object severely. which is why i used it to describe the women who are forcefully cut. this does not apply to the males who have had extra skin removed.
