Today was “Polish all of the silver for Easter” day. Lots of work but dang, it looks great!

Ten days ago, we had days of freezing temps with several inches of snow and ice on the ground. Today, i turned the a/c back on when the temps reached 80 degrees. Tomorrow, the high will be 50. #rollercoasterweather

I finished shopping and wrapping days ago, yet get uncomfortably anxious when I see ads online or read texts from businesses warning me that time is running out to have a gift arrive by Christmas. 🙄

So I’ve been doing a little online shopping for fall/winter clothes over the last week or so and as my orders are arriving, I’ve noticed that my new clothes are mostly animal print. What was I thinking?! It’s as if I am preparing to go on a safari. #wardrobefail 🤦‍♀️

I’ve lived in tornado and hurricane prone areas all of my life, but this wind from Hurricane Laura is crazy! Huge limbs down everywhere, roads impassable due to fallen trees, etc. Thankfully, we still have power.

My husband texted me and invited me to a “picnic lunch in his office.” Guess who had to prepare the picnic? Yeah. Me. 🙄

Spent 10 days in New Mexico and Colorado enjoying cool temps and very low humidity. The air even smelled fresher. Now back to reality - life in Louisiana - where the humidity is unbearable and the air smells like a paper mill....

Being the rule follower that I am, I am disappointed at just how any people do not take social distancing and staying at home seriously. Why put yourself and others in danger? It’s just so selfish.

Just removed all of the window screens on the outside of our house and washed the windows. Wow! What a difference it makes! ☀️
