@NavidMafi@FFmpeg You can use avfilter directly in mpv instead of piping ffmpeg output to it
mpv av://lavfi:smptehdbars=rate=30:size=1920x1080 --audio-file=av://lavfi:sine=1000:48000
@ahmadaccino There's maybe 1-2 people in the replies to that tweet that asked why not use <x codec> instead. Most of the people are just wondering why the 720p encode isn't sufficient for those people with weak devices or weak internet or metered internet. You could even two 1080p encodes.
@ahmadaccino@_Abrinsky People are upset because the change is perceived to be something that only helps Crunchyroll save bandwidth, it is not clear how this helps the majority of users. I see that the intention was to help users, so it may be good to be receptive to user feedback here.
@ahmadaccino@_Abrinsky Hi! Have you considered multiple quality options to satisfy both groups of people? A 720p encode with lower bit rate will help those with metered data or slow internet even more while not making the quality worse for people with fast internet!
