@WoodlouseHouse@Wibbleywobbly1 For all the gory details of who is behind and funding the Tories, why ‘we had to do Brexit’ and now ‘have to come out of ECHR’ - go see @bakerstherald and @EuropeanPowell. We are in the middle of a long running dystopian plan to create Charter Cities and pillage this country.
I was just asked to make a statement in advance of tomorrow's Bank of England interest rate decision. This is what I said:
"Discussion about the Bank of England's interest rate decision has focused on whether it will hold rates rather than increase them, but this entirely misses the point about what is needed now.
Almost certainly, the Bank of England has already wildly overreacted to the inflation that we have, meaning that interest rates are already much too high.
That fact, coupled with its current policy of quantitative tightening, which is deliberately inflating current financial market interest rates, means that the impact of high interest rates is now almost wholly destructive on the economy, businesses, households and individuals.
What we need now are urgent and significant interest rate cuts to reduce the harm already caused and to keep businesses, mortgaged households, renters, local authorities and others going when their financial viability is now under threat, but will the Bank of England do that? I very much doubt it. It's as if they don't care."
My response to the "Labour won’t be any better" argument.
I don’t trust anybody who criticises the opposition more than the fascistic government.
I agree that Labour needs to be bold and progressive but relentlessly parroting a tabloid line will only help the Tories.
Brexiters would prefer it wasn't known, but the UK lost its right to return migrants to EU27 countries because of Brexit & the UK's withdrawal from the Dublin Refugee Convention.
That's why @SuellaBraverman has to look at ever more absurd 'solutions' like expulsions to Rwanda.
2014 Nadine Dorries vehemently saying
"where MPs fall down is when they ......"
Given her utter lack of regard for her constituents today, as @BestForBritain suggests, it would be awful if this video went viral

I am curious as to why an individual nominated for a British peerage needs protection from a super injunction that prevents the media reporting her parentage.
Do the British people not have a right to know the background of their unelected law makers?
William Shatner is right. The Earth is the final & only frontier & we are destroying it an an unprecedented rate.
“Last year, I had a life-changing experience at 90 years old. I went to space, after decades of playing an iconic science-fiction character who was exploring the universe. I thought I would experience a deep connection with the immensity around us, a deep call for endless exploration.
"I was absolutely wrong. The strongest feeling, that dominated everything else by far, was the deepest grief that I had ever experienced.
"I understood, in the clearest possible way, that we were living on a tiny oasis of life, surrounded by an immensity of death. I didn’t see infinite possibilities of worlds to explore, of adventures to have, or living creatures to connect with. I saw the deepest darkness I could have ever imagined, contrasting so starkly with the welcoming warmth of our nurturing home planet.
"This was an immensely powerful awakening for me. It filled me with sadness. I realized that we had spent decades, if not centuries, being obsessed with looking away, with looking outside. I did my share in popularizing the idea that space was the final frontier. But I had to get to space to understand that Earth is and will stay our only home. And that we have been ravaging it, relentlessly, making it uninhabitable."
-- William Shatner, actor
Don’t have time right now to check the validity of all these claims…
But can’t help thinking that this type of approach could be more effective for Labour than those ‘gutter politics’ ads:
@UKdemocrat It’s just mathematics. If the rate of people arriving at a point exceeds the number of people leaving that point you get a queue. Now by making the process longer you increase the length of the queue. So it’s all down to Brexit
I didn’t have calling out a racist sausage fella racist on my to do list today, but here we are. The guy I confronted was spouting the racist rhetoric promoted by the BNP Tories and their mates in the press.
This was my experience in Aldi today
Never be a bystander.
