P.S. there are far fewer blue/short wavelength cones than green and red. i don't think this is the main reason as much anymore but i believe it could still be related

@epicsaucers i think it's due to the fact that there's a significant gap between "blue" and "green" cones' ranges of wavelengths that causes a lack of distinction. i'm no eye-ologist though don't quote me on this lol
