Illegal Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli forces invaded a Palestinian family's land in Hawara, in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, and assaulted members of the family. Women and children were among those injured in the attack. Local sources report Israeli forces at the scene provided protection to the settlers, joined the assault, and detained the male members of the family. This latest attack comes just days after another illegal Israeli settler attack on Hawara, in which more women and children were also injured
Israel has confirmed the authenticity of a viral photo showing a Palestinian detainee being tortured by soldiers.
The military said it had identified the incident and that an inquiry was underway. It added that “those involved will be dealt with in accordance with the findings.” A spokesperson did not disclose the man’s name or the location of his detention.
The Instagram post, uploaded by a user whose account appears to have been deleted, included the Hebrew words “good morning” over the image. The picture went viral after it was shared on June 30 by Palestinian writer and activist Tamer.
Several NGOs told The Guardian and The New York Times that the picture constitutes evidence of war crimes and is consistent with testimonies from former Palestinian detainees who have reported systematic torture inside Israeli prisons

🚨 NEW: Israel has responded to a High Court petition over the detention of Gaza physician Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, saying he has been examined several times since being transferred to the underground Rakefet detention facility.
Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) said the state failed to explain why the examinations were necessary, what they found, or respond to allegations from his lawyer that he suffered severe injuries and repeated loss of consciousness.
PHRI said the response raises new questions about Abu Safiya’s condition.
Israel also asked the court to dismiss, without a hearing, PHRI’s petition seeking the release of 14 Gaza doctors, including Dr. Abu Safiya, held without charge. PHRI said the response fails to address their continued detention.

You made us all proud team Egypt 🇪🇬.
Got clearly cheated out of a goal, and overrun by FIFA corruption.
But hold your heads high like Coach Hossam held the flag of Palestine 🇵🇸.
They can’t VAR this.
“Who do you believe? Them… or Benjamin Netanyahu?”

This is Mohammad Fawaz al-Wahidi.
He was part of the Egyptian Relief Committee in Gaza, helping provide food and shelter to displaced Palestinians. More recently, he helped organise World Cup screenings, giving families in Gaza rare moments of joy amid unimaginable hardship.
Just one hour before Egypt's World Cup match against Argentina, Mohammad was killed when occupation forces targeted the car he was travelling in. Two other Palestinians were also killed in the attack.
The day before, Egypt's national team coach, Hossam Hassan, used the world's biggest football stage to make a heartfelt plea:
"We are sending a message to the whole world: Please, let the Palestinian people live. Please, let them live."
Egypt coach Hossam Hassan broke away from discussing his team’s upcoming World Cup round of 16 match against Argentina to give an impassioned monologue about the plight of the Palestinian people.
Hassan, who waved a Palestinian flag after Egypt’s victory over Australia in the last round, spoke for more than four minutes on the subject on Monday and was applauded by many of the assembled media.
“If there is anyone in the world who does not feel for the Palestinian people, then they are not human — whether they are Arab, European, or American,” Hassan said at news conference to preview Egypt’s game against defending champion Argentina on Tuesday.
“Everywhere in the world, including in Europe or America, if someone hurts an animal, we see animal rights being defended and the whole world reacts,” Hassan said. “It has become normal to hear that two or three thousand people die in a single day because of a missile.”
“Regardless of religion, I am a human before being Arab or anything else. My message, through football, is this: Please, just as FIFA’s slogan calls for respect among us, I hope there will be respect for people’s right to live,” Hassan said
