We're thrilled to have been at the Treasury yesterday evening to hear the Chancellor of the Exchequer commit to ensuring every primary school in the country will have a library by the end of this Parliament.
After years of collaborative partnership working and the success of the #LibrariesForPrimaries campaign, we know the incredible difference this will make to give the next generation the best start in life.

I have been working on something very special... the flagship event for Penguin's 90th! The Nothing Like a Book weekender at The Truman's Brewery on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 💫 Ticket ballot open now!
This new funding will help us to reach 28,000 students & 200 teachers! I'm so grateful to @ace_national for their continuing support of #LibrariesforPrimaries, particularly as research from @Literacy_Trust shows that just 1 in 3 young people say they enjoy reading for pleasure
We're thrilled @ace_national has committed to a second expansion of our library transformation programme in partnership with @literacy_trust! Through #LibrariesForPrimaries, we’ll support 100 primary schools to foster a love of reading among students in underserved communities.
Since our 2021 #LitInColour report, we’ve launched the #LitInColourPioneers pilot with exam board @PearsonSchools. Today, we released new key findings which reveal that teaching texts by writers of colour has a positive impact on students 🧡
Now, 10% of students who take Pearson Edexcel GCSE English Literature study a text by an author of colour. This is ✨100 times ✨ more students than before the Lit in Colour Pioneers Pilot Programme!

@nazneen372 is speaking on libraries as spaces of possibility at the #InclusiveLibraries conference - I couldn’t agree more! They should be spaces for everyone, the heart of our communities, a place we all feel at home @PenguinUKBooks@Literacy_Trust
“Libraries are integral to the fabric of any local community”

I'm so proud that we've published our first ESG report, bringing to life the impact of my amazing team. We've been busy putting libraries into primary schools with no library provision, reducing our carbon emissions from the paper we use and much more 📚 💫
This was a moment to remember. @thekillers pausing their show to let us watch England get through to the finals, and then playing Mr Brightside - it’s coming home and even The Killers know it! ⚽️
Can you spot the big piece of white plastic? I didn’t until I was chewing on it. Monday lunch ruined @sainsburys - why was this in there?! Dangerous and disgusting 🤢
