I guess a doctor is bad cause their life revolves around medicine. Who cares if he likes guns and can seemingly make a living off of that passion. I’m glad I live in a place where folks can find something legal they like and make a living off it.

Actually adults in the 1980’s had budgeting apps, it was called a checkbook. They had little ledgers in them and you logged what you put in and took out so the 2 balanced. They had financial planners/accountants. And some did work multiple jobs. Interestingly the same minimum wage folks worked multiple jobs to make ends meet.

It’s not necessarily a wage suppression thing, although the under the table and H1B economy isn’t helping. It’s that a lot of the blue collar jobs that folks could upgrade themselves to are no longer available. We have had too many years if service industry growth and looked at it as a good thing. We are missing all the factory jobs and the trades that spanned the bridge between minimum wage and office jobs.

Yup. You can thank the government backed student loan system for discarding common sense underwriting practices. Same reason why we had a housing bubble. Government guarantees over wrote common sense underwriting practices.

And you can also thank an education system that dies t teach kids anything about this imbalance of debt to potential income.

Let’s assume we are talking about folks who start businesses and make themselves rich. They are driven individuals. They do it cause the challenge is what makes them happy. Think if it this way. Did you whine about MJ having multiple championships or Brady? You think they did it for the rings or because they were driven to excel abd really did not know anything else to do?
