Eddie Chu was again arrested this morning at 6:25 am pertaining to the 35+ primary election. Eddie Chu is accused of breaching the draconian National Security Law. It is not yet known which Police station has been sent to.
#BREAKING: According to Nowtv, at least 50 people were arrested in the early hours this morning. Sources indicate that they are mainly pro-democratic activists and former legislators who took part in the democratic camp preliminary elections last year. More to follow.
We condemn the arrests of 52 pro-democracy politicians who ran in the primaries last July that drew 600,000+ HKers. Among the arrested were veteran lawmakers, as well as Jeffrey Andrews, first ethnic minority social worker to run. They are charged with “subversion to the state”.
