@ZachLowe_NBA I've thought you have had measured takes overall on trades but I want to hear some thoughts on the whole "No Caleb Martin" thing in the hypothetical Lillard trade. I get Bam and Jimmy are off limits but isn't Caleb Martin almost the prototypical return piece?
@ruthluvsgsw I can only anecdotally note that Klay has a remarkably high uncontested number because he spends a high amount of time on the floor with Steph, and it has been noted in written work, and the opposite has been shown with Lillard, with his absence of help. I don't have 1v1 data.
@TalalUnfiltered I'm not saying he shouldn't, but 23 is young enough to still have some growing up to do. If he thinks she's likely to grow up then could make sense, but doesn't make sense why the marriage was allowed/encouraged to happen from his side.
@terrajobst On the plus side, you can still get to Azure AD! On the downside, with all the redirects that happen now, I'm thinking it'll be around for weeks tops.
No, it was not a joke. "Our paying customers need X, when will you fix it?" may not be the best way to introduce yourself to an open source project.

@GeoffreyHuntley@terrajobst Additionally, there's room for proper dual-licensing! Why not go the Qt route and offer devdiv FOSS, with limitations that promote corporations to use the paid commercial version?
Yea it's not a FOSS dream but it's a model that something like 30% of Linux desktop users accept.
@GeoffreyHuntley@terrajobst I don't agree that it's Balmer-esque, the problem is that the line between FOSS and proprietary needs to move. .NET should be open, including devdiv. GUI frameworks and tooling around .NET should be proprietary and require a subscription for commercial use.
@hoopsjock Are we really ignoring that Lillard opted into Team USA instead of doing his abdomen repair on a timeline that got him back for the season? Chances are that team does well enough to make more favorable trades and pick up a few decent signings.
@diandraann Nah this was bull. We tanked one season cuz Lillard played Team USA and delayed his abdomen surgery way too long, and in the process lost most of our good players cuz management wasn't willing to pay repeater for a non-playoff team.
The deep irony is it's about to bite him again with Miami. Their underpaid role players are fleeing to get paid. Jimmy > Grant and Bam > Nurk, but they don't have a path back. They have no assets post-trade to get back any depth, so it'll basically be like every team Dame's had.
My fadeaway Twitter rant is that the trade demand by Lillard moves him to parallel with Clyde.
Lillard spent his star equity on trying to swing for the fences instead of luring difference-maker mid-level players, and he's blind to how important they are.
@diandraann Yea I'm gonna be pissed if he goes to the Heat though. I'd like to actually get a single interesting asset back if we're going to lose him.
