Ann Simpson devoted her life to her family and serving the people of Wyoming. For seven decades, Wyoming was fortunate to listen and learn from Ann and Al. They made a legendary team, always working together to make Wyoming and Washington a better place. Ann was also a champion for Wyoming’s art community. From the UW Artmobile to the fellowship at Ucross, Ann leaves a legacy that will continue to support Wyoming artists for years to come. We will miss Ann dearly. We take comfort that she is reunited with her beloved Al once again.
The American cowboy is a national symbol of the values, spirit, and traditions that we cherish most. It’s wonderful to be in Wyoming to celebrate our American cowboys and cowgirls on this special day.
It was a pleasure to attend the final night of the @CentralWYFair and Rodeo last weekend. Special thanks to @hilltopbank for hosting a delicious pre-rodeo BBQ. It’s great to connect with so many of our Casper community leaders while also enjoying some world-class rodeo action.
It was my pleasure to read the Declaration of Independence today (July 8) which was first read out loud on this day 250 years ago. The event took place in Encampment, Wyoming at the Grand Encampment Museum. It was a surprise to be joined by Wyoming U.S. Senator John Barrasso (a big fan of the books) who joined me on stage with a large replica of the Declaration itself. Sorry, Brits, but we made the right choice. @SenJohnBarrasso
Honored to celebrate America's 250th with a visit to the Grand Encampment Museum, where Wyoming author C.J. Box brought history to life by reading the Declaration of Independence. Today’s reading commemorates the first time the Declaration was read publicly on July 8, 1776. A meaningful reminder of the courage and enduring spirit that continues to shape our nation. #America250
The world has long demanded access to Wyoming coal, the cleanest in the world. There are customers throughout Asia who would buy it now if we could actually ship it to them. The new West Gateway Terminal enables that after decades of blue state obstruction. Now is the time to unleash Wyoming’s coal industry, and today’s announcement is a crucial step down that path.
I oppose the House-passed, year-round E-15 mandate. Without additional relief, it would hurt small refineries and could raise gas prices across the country.
Affordable, available, reliable American energy never comes from a one size fits all government mandate.
Americans want US beef on the table. Wyoming ranchers produce the highest quality beef in the world.
Our ranchers don't ask for special treatment. They simply want a fair marketplace. They should not have to compete against foreign beef.
Last weekend, I joined @GovernorGordon, the State Shooting Task Force, the Joint Powers Board, and community members at the groundbreaking for the world-class Wyoming Shooting Complex in Cody.
This complex will be the premier destination for shooting sports, educational programs, and competitive events. It will also serve as a catalyst for economic growth, tourism, and outdoor recreation in Wyoming.
This is great news. Wyoming’s uranium miners are stepping up to the plate to deliver safe, reliable, affordable energy for American families.
We are stronger and safer as a nation when our nuclear fuel supply chain starts and ends here at home.
It was wonderful to visit with members of the @WYBroadcasters who are in DC this week for the NAB State Leadership Conference. In Wyoming, we know we can rely on your stations for timely information and programming that has a direct impact on our lives and local communities.
Had the honor of meeting two Wyoming sailors from Wheatland and Gillette this weekend who are serving on the USS Bulkeley in the eastern Mediterranean. These sailors, who are a long way from home, are fighting terrorists in the Middle East and protecting our freedoms. Wyoming is so grateful for everything they do to keep us safe.
Thank you @SecVetAffairs for traveling to Cheyenne today for a Wyoming Veterans Roundtable. As a frontier state, Wyoming veterans face extra challenges due to long distances and unpredictable weather. Today, we heard ways we can improve all veterans' access to the care, benefits, and services they’ve earned.
I thank my good friend, @barrassoforwyo, for his praise and support. He has a record of credibility and trustworthiness, standing up for our way of life, energy independence, and Western values. I am grateful for the confidence he has shown in me, and look forward to joining him in the Senate.
I’m proud to endorse @HagemanforWY for U.S. Senate.
Harriet has spent decades fighting for Wyoming, pushing back on federal overreach, & delivering real results.
Please join me in supporting her campaign: https://t.co/9Wk8rt82SZ
Today is a great day for all Americans who enjoy recreating on our public waterways. @POTUS signed my bipartisan MAPWaters Act into law. Sportsmen and women who enjoy Wyoming’s waters will benefit from access to up-to-date digital data. https://t.co/4U9lRguA9F
