The Berlin election has been decided on the housing question. 85% of households are tenants. The largest share voted for the Left party which means they voted for socialization of large real estate companies. Immigration was the least important issue.

Not in Berlin. The Left put socializing corporate landlords on the ballot, and won the election and this group. Our constitution allows the socialization of means of production for the common good because a key lessons of the Nazi era was: democracy needs an economic defense.
