Today is LM #Montgomery's 150th Birthday!

To celebrate, John Ota (author of The Kitchen) gave a talk in Norval (Nov 23), exploring 3 of Maud's kitchens.

We all enjoyed Maud's mock cherry tarts, squares, Scottish shortbread (thx to C. Crawford & K. Gastle) and raspberry cordial!

I have a mini-quilt in similar colours, though much smaller, from a quilters guild in Ontario. I often think of these colours as "Anne of Green Gables" colours!

Thx @mwxannex506 Your photo reminds me of my own little display - a miniature wooden Grocer's Shop, ~20 by 12 inches. Purchased on north shore of PEI a few years ago. Reminds me of General Store where Matthew buys Anne the puff-sleeved dress.

Gorgeous teapot display at Kingsway FIsh and Chips @kingswayfc3060 in my neighbourhood in Toronto.

Not too far from where Maud #LMM lived at "Journey's End" in Swansea in her later years. The Kingsway area traditionally had British/Tudor influence, but is a nice melting pot now.

Thrilled to find LMM's "A Tangled Web" at front/centre

Originally published 1931 while Maud was in #Norval
