@sivalabs This is so true. So many developers blindly go into all the magic patterns, adding layers and layers of complexity.
Month later... no one knows what happens where in the code.

@RaulJuncoV Utile and Common names are banned in my projects, at least if I have any say in that matter.
Names like that are indicators of a lazy developer ;)
@RaulJuncoV Going with YAGNI and KISS first will save you from a lot of problems, that you would create for yourself.
First make it work, as simple as possible.
Then analyze how it behaves.
And then, if it's not optimal, start thinking about adding complexity to improve it.

@NiestrojRobert@Hibernate I didn't know about comments or highlighting... I wish that I knew about that 4 days ago, it would save me a lot of debugging time 🤯 Thanks @NiestrojRobert
@venkat_s I learned the hard way about that...
Now I'm all for the simplest possible solution.
There is no way to make a good upfront design of an extensible solution without at least minimal knowledge of future requirements - they are never like you would imagine them anyway.

@mariuszgil Well, life is full of async processes that work only because at the end, there is always someone, who manually pushes the process to a consistent outcome. But then, others expect that "the new IT system" will do this automatically, without problems.
@sivalabs I remember when I was working on projects with Java 6/7, it felt stagnant then. Java 8 gave a ray of hope, but still there were many other exciting languages on the horizon. But now, with 17/21 is just great and I have no need to look for something "better".
@vlad_mihalcea@vlad_mihalcea oh that is so true, but still, there are many developers who push for sophisticated and overcomplicated solutions, even though a simple solution would work just fine.
