Is #AI going to take our jobs? Is it destroying our critical thinking? Is it improving or limiting our ability to learn new things?
Some thoughts on these questions in the form of five "commandments" on AI usage:

@adamsilverhq I agree, switches are meant to toggle something ON or OFF. Toggling between two different views is not enabling or disabling something.
To me the worst part is future-proofing. What if you want a third view type? The switch would never work.
@davidfowl This is the problem with AI. It's still not reliable (will LLMs ever be?). You have to tinker with prompts and requests until it gives you something close to what you are looking for. It's a nice tool, but nothing more than that (yet).
@ElvisGNieves@davidfowl Confirmed today that running my devContainer with a larger /dev/shm space (in my case 4G) fixed the problem.
Not sure you can do it in Codespaces, though...
We're in for an adventure today.
Merging the different components of our MES solution living in different repos to a single monorepo today. Together with that, we're replacing our build system and moving all our dev tooling to dev containers. #monorepomerge
The new Interceptors in .NET 8 are unbelievably clunky. Specifying the intercept location with a file name, line number and... character?! π€―
Curious to see some practical use cases of such abomination π @dotnet any ideas?
