ACOG is celebrating passage of the #AmericanRescuePlan, which will expand access to needed medical care, bolster the U.S. medical system to respond to #COVID19, and implement approaches to protect and sustain the health care workforce. 1/
Later today @POTUS will sign the #AmericanRescuePlan, which includes a state plan option to extend #Medicaid coverage to 12 months #postpartum. This is a major milestone in the history Medicaid as a provider of health insurance to low-income pregnant people. (thread)
1 year ago today, @acog sent 700 #obgynadvocates to the Hill to advocate for extending #Medicaid from 60 days to 1 year #postpartum. As early as today, a version of this policy will become law as part of the #AmericanRescuePlan. I’ll have more to say later. For now, just wow.
NEWS: @macpacgov commissioners just voted to recommend to Congress that 100% FMAP be provided for a #postpartum#Medicaid coverage extension. 16 yes votes and 1 abstention.
Excited to talk to ACOG state leaders about advocating for telehealth, non-invasive prenatal testing, and other health care coverage issues for women! #statelegwork@acogaction https://t.co/nhaLyNNFW1
Don’t forget to find out candidates’ views about access to contraception too. @acog supports and defends access provisions under the #ACA and supports access for all (more here: https://t.co/t9QjgnMQIF #acogvotes#VicePresidentialDebate2020 )
@ACOG supports vaccinations that have been approved by scientists and public health officials with rigorous testing and standard testing. We need a #COVID19#vaccine that is safe, that works, and is available for everyone. #VaccinesWork#ACOGVotes
Enough already. @HHSGov expects to renew the Public Health Emergency due to COVID-19 before it expires. We have already renewed this PHE once. Learn more here: https://t.co/QsWSaP6X2D
Richard M. Rosenfeld, MD, MPH, MBA, spoke at the G-I-N North America Open Space meeting held at @AHRQNews, attended by representatives from healthcare societies and @AAOHNS clinical practice guidelines staff!
I’m fortunate to participate in the G-I-N scholars program through the @AAOHNS. It’s been a privilege to learn from Dr. Rich Rosenfeld and to work with my fellow scholars. There’s a lot of work to be done! @GINConference
