Loaded Films’ Eiko Mizuno-Gray served on the International New Talent Competition jury at the 28th Taipei Film Festival (June 26-July 11). The awards for that section were presented on June 30, and the jury headed by Udine Far East Film Festival’s Sabrina Baracetti.

The North American theatrical release of Chie Hayakawa’s RENOIR launches May 29th at the @IFCCenter New York City, expanding to 13 more cities across the US and Canada through distributor @Film_Movement. Hayakawa will be on hand for IFC screenings on both the 29th and 30th!

Japanese film critic and cinema translator Atsuko Saito has passed away. A constant fixture at @tokyofilmex and other film events over the years, she studied cinema in Paris and was a member of FIPRESCI.

Saito-san did expert Japanese subtitles for the Tagalog scenes in PLAN 75.
