FLAC was always one of those things I just kinda made do without for various reasons, but I admit I am actually a little bit stunned at the difference in quality between Spotify’s old Very High quality setting and the new lossless.

Yet, something human-made is infinitely more appealing to me as a player. Even if just a posed 3D model doesn’t look as “good”, I want to feel the creator’s intent in art.
Also good to note that it seems a lot of artists who are quietly pro-AI are nearly all former/current industry professionals. Curious! I’m sure that there’s no perverse structural incentives affecting their thought process there!
The thing that really gets me about highly technical and skilled artists using AI is that the value proposition to them is pure business. It’s not even about the process, it’s the idea that the sheer volume might make their work more valuable at market
