@juliadahl If you lean more creative and less newsy but are drawn to the journo space, there is room for you in photo/art/video depts! You won't see as many job postings for freelance photo gigs, but connecting with folks early on will be a lifesaver, esp if you miss the internship boat.

My partner is live in front of Llyod's Carrot Cake in the Bronx. Firefighters drove up with sirens on and walked out with two cakes.

A chorus of people yelled, "you cut the line!" Firefighters were seen smiling as they drove away.

Llyod's has a two-cake maximum during the holidays. He made the line yesterday and recalled telling staff, "you'll be seeing me tomorrow too." (2/2)
