And with closing themes of hope, solutions, diversity, community and determination, that’s a wrap for #ORFC24! Thanks to a brilliant team for an inspiring two days of debate, discussion, listening and learning @ORFC 🌱
This invention @localworkstudio, not only it's made from 63% recycled waste, but also the bricks are unfired which means it saved lots of energy consumption.

Green is the New Black | Designed by the Turner Prize-winning collective Assemble, in collaboration with @localworkstudio and Central Saint Martins students, a zero-waste Christmas tree market appears in London's King's Cross, @loubuck01 says @csm_news https://t.co/75tt0sWi9C
Very excited to welcome Georgemma to Local Works Studio! She is joining us as a part-time researcher and designer, to implement and develop the studios low carbon construction methods, and use of local, regenerative landscape materials 🌱♻️ #circulareconomy#architecture
A very memorable, inspiring, sociable and slightly bonkers experience. The initial performance by the @musarcchoir really softened the atmosphere and made the night. Also loved the anarchic panel discussion with @mufarchitectureart @tomemerson6a @tree_russ @johnwrightmushrooms
Great evening in beautiful Barbican presenting ‘Living & building with the seasons in the forest city’ alongside the brilliant @sebastiancoxltd @nshasore @richardwentworthcbe Je Ahn from @studioweave@formafantasma#treetalks for the @ArchFoundation curated by @judithloesing
@PhinHarper @ArchFoundation Embarrassing confession-realised today I made glaring sloppy mistake in my dramatic assertion about 90k trees being felled yearly in London - reality is much less, but not sure of true figure. Must revert to robotic stickler self.🤦♀️
Incredible love of trees at #treetalks
-8.4m trees covering ⅕ of the London
-90k trees are felled per yr in UK
-40 x more likely to be injured by a wheelie bin than a tree
-Entire London stock of trees sequesters 2% of the carbon in London per annum

In January 2021 we were approached by architects #CarmodyGroake to design a low-carbon waste-based brick for the Design Museum Gent, in Belgium. The bricks have just been approved for use! Thanks to the awesome work by BCMaterials.
Rumours this evening that @DefraGovUK will renege on the manifesto commitment to pay farmers to "protect and enhance our natural environment" are deeply concerning. There is no food security without nature. 1/🧵
