In 2026 one of the skills that every software engineer, developer or architect will need is the knowledge of quickly identifying the root cause in (unknown) code.

This will be a differentiation factor, as more and more code will be AI generated and developers will not know all portions of the code.

Being able to visualize the data flow and/or the code flow in your head will proof you to be human and show that your brain is still more capable than any AI coding assitent.

Experience and mistakes matter - they set you apart from what's happening in our industry.

(2/5) The 7am setup team. Nobody sees it, but settings things with the team is one of my favourite parts. Community is a verb.

(3/5) Fantastic sessions including two Keynote Hall sessions on trusting AI agents in production — Anton Babenko on the Terraform Trust Gap, Christian Bonzelet on shipping agentic engineering at scale. Both landed hard.

(4/5) The AWS Community Builder Meetup. So many curious, generous people. If you're on the fence about becoming a CB — do it. 🙌

(5/5) And a day with fellow AWS Heroes to top it off. I'm heading home with a full notebook and a fuller heart. Thank you, AWS Community. ❤️
