Spring 2022 data (from @locomizer & @beauclairltd) showed a sluggish return to the office.
📊 New analysis from @CentreforCities shows that the absence of office workers has so far hampered high street recovery - especially for the food & drinks sector.

💼 While many are back at their desks, working patterns are different to what they once were, affecting stronger city centres the most.

And workers are still reluctant to go back to the office.
Less than 1️⃣ in 5️⃣ had returned by the end of July.
If workers don’t return, spend levels are unlikely to bounce back, meaning certain sectors like hospitality & retail are likely to struggle.
Fantastic to see how #realworlddata is used to quantify the effect of a policy: a 12% increase in mobility measured by @locomizer as children in Ireland being sent to school! @TomTom's and @Apple's data are on par.
