@DrGregLittle2 Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Spiro today. I sat in the shade at the Equinox aligned house mound and ate pecans. Thanks Doc for your Right On enthusiasm for the visible remnants of the great American Mississippian confederation. @MoundLore , you too
@MoundLore Do you know a good book or resource that delves into Pecan’s significance. Especially with the people. I’m similarly fascinated by easy access food and everything else the pecan was.
@DrGregLittle2 immersion inside an ancient spiritual center. A great opportunity for us. And imagine being inside the larger Chaco kivas! Attending a major event (whatever that might have been) Would be life altering for people.
@MoundLore My admiration and for the Buffalo Runners. Some using wolf or buffalo skin disguise in an organized, highly athletic communal quest for food and all the associated skins and resources of the bison.
@DrGregLittle2 Right on. I visit the Arch and always spend time overlooking the riverfront imagining rafts and dugouts and all the conversations that were happening between people loading up, arriving and moving and all the same things we see people do today at transportation hubs.
