@_KendraDawn_ You are going to hate my answer. $10 is a good starting wage. Do a good job & work your way up. If you can’t get ahead in that company try another one. Plenty of educational opportunities. This bill says it will raise taxes. Raising minimum every year is crazy.
@_KendraDawn_ How many people in Oklahoma make minimum wage? 1,000. Even fast food pays more than minimum wage. The bill has a tax increase in it. Need a better bill.
@MickeyDollens What about the tax increase in the bill? It’s a bad bill. If this is passed does that mean that our state government can increase taxes without a vote of the people?
@CoxRicki77036@WinningintheUSA It will cost businesses $100,000 for every 10 employees. And that is if they are getting paid $10 an hour now. It also has a provision in it to raise taxes. After 2030 it will increase minimum every year.
@raisethewageok This is just a bad bill. It allows the state to raise taxes. It also raises minimum wage every year after 2030. Just get a better job? It will raise prices. Employers are not going to absorb costs. Every 10 employees will be an increase of $100,000 in operating costs.
@PalominoOMG@WallStreetApes We just know how not to waste money. If you’re broke stop eating out. A cheap loaf of bread, bologna and a bag of potatoes will feed you for a week. Been there, done that. I still don’t eat out much 45 years later.
@raisethewageok Did you read the last part of the bill?? A tax increase will be necessary to give school support staff a raise. This means that we will allow Oklahoma to raise taxes without a vote of the people. Businesses will cut staff to part time to save on benefits.
