Beyond recreation, the facility creates opportunities for local businesses and service providers, while attracting residents and visitors to the city center. It contributes to local economic activity & gives citizens a quality public space where they can connect & exchange ideas.
Residents of @NyagatareDistr are enjoying a new space for recreation, connection and community interaction. The ‘Nyagatare Urban Eco Park’, developed at a cost of 465 million Frw, has transformed a former swamp into a modern 3-hectare green space near Nyagatare Hospital.
The Park offers facilities including coffee shops, free internet access and spaces for meetings, recreation and social interaction. The free internet gives young people a convenient space to connect, conduct research, access information and engage in digital opportunities.
Today, @LODARwanda welcomed a delegation from Nigeria's Katsina State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KTSCHMA), in Rwanda on a knowledge-exchange visit.

4/ Impact: farmers can now move their produce to market without being cut off by streams and ravines, cutting travel time and reducing post-harvest losses along the way.
The bridges weren't just built for the community, they were partly built by it. An estimated 480 jobs created.
