Eons ago, earning this belt was my entire life. But the belt was just a symbol. Sad as I may feel finding the old thing buried in a drawer (& knowing it's been years since it fit my waistline!), every day I still carry the confidence & skills of the journey that l let me earn it.
@UseClear@albertkinng I'm sure the app TRIED to tell me about this change, but I just spent 30m very confused why the "markup" style I was used to wasn't working. π
I guess my question is:
Why was this major change not given to a feature flag? Honestly, I don't consider the two mutually exclusive.
@jessitron I've been 93% away from social networks so I don't know when you started kicking the new hairsty - but I love it! In 80βs seak: It's rad to the max!
@nspektorapps I've been using a new laptop since last November but I am just now trying to set up Calendar 366 II on it. Is there a seat limit to license codes? If so, how do I activate on my new laptop if I don't have access to the old one?
@UseClear Huh. Okso the icons' graphic designs are fine & dandy. Excellent execution. My critique would be - Nostalgia threshold unmet. Wavy neon icon not connecting with my 90s, & the notebook one I can still buy today.
Q: Which type sells best?
Icon, Theme, or Quote?
Research shows that declining whiteboard usage is directly correlated to limited opportunities for minorities in tech (such as art majors), wherin I show off & wonder why I chose Ruby on Rails over Batman and Robinβ¦ π€¨
I miss the whiteboard.
Granted, I have a whiteboard; there's one in the garage.
I could bring it inside and mount it. But who will I whiteboard with? Myself? Sure. Maybe.
That's not what I miss about the whiteboard.
> "Do you have a few minutes?"
> "Sure, let's head to a room." (A room with a whiteboard)
> "How can I help?"
> "Tell me more."
> "Can you show me?"
We look at the whiteboard, curiously. Artifacts from a previous discussion remain. What client project do these circles, lines, and words relate to? What problems were they trying to solve? Whose handwriting is that? That red marker needs to be replaced. Why didn't they wipe it clean? Is that underlined date tomorrow? Seems important.
> "Wait, one moment."
I stick my head out of the meeting room.
> "Is it okay to erase the whiteboard?"
A few people look up from their monitors. Looking around, a few shrug. My focus returns to my coworker in the room.
> "I'll take a photo...just in case."
I wipe the board clean.
> "Okay, walk me through it."
They begin to show me. They start to draw circles, lines, and...
> "Wait, let's get a new (red) marker."
I miss that whiteboard.

Nice. Do sculptors get anything? Jerk.

Clear 2.1.1 is now rolling out on the App Store!
Have fun with Widgets, Per-List Personalization, Daily Quote Push option and now new Micro & Nano font sizes too:
@UseClear custom list bugs:
β’ no issues with per list themes
β’ fonts however...
1. custom font only applying to "normal" item font, not thought or whatever the larger one ending in a colon is called
2. not sure the custom font size is being applied
