@News5PH Joel Villanueva does not deserve to be in the Senate. He should be ousted as a Senator. He has no principles. He is an opportunist. He represents all that is wrong with Philippine politics. He is a sellout through and through.
Deserve ng Pilipino ang buong katotohanan. Hindi tingi-tingi lang. That's why we will file a bill to create an Independent Commission. Walang dapat pagtakpan. PANAGUTIN LAHAT!
Let’s legislate an independent investigative commission for not just flood control projects but all big infra. Para Walang kaduda-duda na the investigation is going to be impartial and thorough. For now, all investigations are like theater and talk shows. #Fightcorruption
When Oversight Is Compromised, Who Audits the Auditors?
In the face of systemic corruption, the Commission on Audit (COA) stands as one of the last lines of defense. Its mandate is clear: to safeguard public funds, uphold transparency, and ensure that every peso spent serves the Filipino people.
But when flood control projects worth billions are riddled with ghost structures, inflated contracts, and political choreography, COA’s role becomes not just technical—it becomes moral.
Senator Lacson has called for a deeper probe. President Marcos has named contractors. The public has seen the patterns. Now, COA must act—not with caution, but with courage.
And yet, troubling questions remain.
A corporation linked to the wife of COA Commissioner Mario Lipana has reportedly secured nearly ₱200 million in DPWH flood control contracts

While COA insists on impartiality and notes that Lipana is on medical leave, the optics are damaging. The very agency tasked with auditing these projects is now under scrutiny for potential conflict of interest.
The word audit comes from the Latin audire, meaning “to hear.”
But how can you listen when your ears are closed—and your eyes refuse to see?
When truth-tellers like General Torre are removed without due process, and figures like Secretary Bonoan remain in power despite mounting evidence, we are not witnessing governance. We are witnessing a cover-up.
If COA cannot guarantee full independence, then it is time to call in external auditors with global credibility and no political ties. Firms like SGV & Co. (Ernst & Young) and Isla Lipana & Co. (PwC Philippines) have decades of experience in assurance, fraud audits, and public sector consulting. Their reputations are built on impartiality and rigor.
This is not just about numbers. It’s about trust.
Let COA lead if it can. But if it cannot, let it step aside with dignity and allow independent auditors to do what must be done.
Because the Filipino people deserve more than polished optics.
They deserve truth.
They deserve accountability.
They deserve a government that audits itself with the same scrutiny it demands of its citizens.

The higher you aim, the higher the qualifications rin dapat. Pag may case or pending case, barred from running na dapat.
