Zolang de media dit soort onzin blijft publiceren, blijf ik er op wijzen.

Bijvoorbeeld op het feit dat het KNMI eigenhandig 23 (!) historische hittegolven uit zijn statistieken heeft verwijderd.

Allicht omdat het feit dat er vroeger ook flinke hittegolven voorkwamen, zeer slecht te rijmen valt met het huidig narratief.

Want dat is natuurlijk lastig wanneer je mensen wil doen geloven dat hitte iets ongeziens en ongekends van deze tijd is.

De echte -niet herschreven- geschiedenis herinnert ons eraan dat ook vroeger lange en intense hittegolven voorkwamen.

Feiten zijn wel vervelend wanneer ze niet in het gewenste narratief passen, vraag maar aan de klimaat angstprofeten.

Wie het verleden probeert te herschrijven, denkt makkelijker gelijk te krijgen over het heden.

Juist daarom is het belangrijk dat mensen blijven kijken naar de originele gegevens in plaats van naar de versie die ervan wordt gemaakt.
