since heeseung is debuting soon, I will not accept any personal opinions, criticisms or honest reviews after the release. This is not a democracy, this is a cult. Any negative thought, keep it to yourself or save it for your therapist.
people talk about the consequences the 6 had to face because they lost a member, but never the consequences of hs staying and potentially losing a chance to pursue a solo career. why is the expectation always that he should be the one to compromise on his dreams? two years of someone’s life isn’t a small sacrifice, especially if they’ve had that dream since he was little
he openly talked about wanting to release his own music while still being an enhypen member. he talked about his mixtape with so much excitement, he never really hide that fact. he said many times that he wanted to spend years with his members. none of that sounds like someone who was looking for an excuse to leave so he could ‘burden’ and intentionally give consequences to his members
belift already made it clear that pursuing a solo career while remaining in the group wasn’t possible. so what exactly was the alternative? stay in a system that doesn’t allow the kind of growth he wants and put his own ambitions on hold for years?
wait for the end of his contract so it’s not “messy”? what makes people think it would’ve been cleaner later? contract renewal discussions happen years before contracts actually end because companies have to negotiate future schedules, endorsements, and business deals. do people really trust belift to prioritize a member’s graceful exit over the group’s commercial interests? will belift protect his privacy and personal decision by risking losing profit from a brand who wants to sign them as a group?
at the end of the day, their careers were tied together. any decision was always going to affect everyone involved
that’s why i don’t understand the selfishness argument. didn’t all of them choose what they think was best for theirselves and the group moving forward? he left in order for the 6 of the members to be able to move forward without his personal dreams hindering the group, because again, what’s been clear is they all had different personal priorities. and the company made sure those priorities cannot co-exist in one space
if heeseung is selfish for choosing the career path he wants, then by the same logic, wouldn’t everyone else be selfish for expecting him to give it up for theirs? obviously even typing that sounds absurd. the reality is that neither side was wrong for wanting different things. when people’s goals no longer align, someone is always going to be disappointed. that doesn’t automatically make the other party selfish
Ot7 agreeing to this, ot6 agreeing to this. But when Heeseung was honest and sincere in his debut interview, y’all wanted to nuke him. I’m not a vindictive person, but whoever threw shade at or spread hate toward Heeseung, I hope it comes back to your ass tenfold.
why do engenes think that heeseung choosing himself and his own ambitions makes him a horrible person? why should heeseung tailor his personal needs and wants to please other people when it’s HIS life
heeseung, i hope you know there’s nothing wrong with wanting to grow beyond the place that once made you feel stuck. artists deserve the freedom to evolve, create, and fully chase the music they believe in. and honestly, that’s exactly why i’m even prouder of you now 🤍
Chasing a dream is never wrong. Heeseung, you’re truly an artist. You have so much passion, and you pour your whole self into it. You also have such a strong stance on what you want, and honestly, not everyone can stay that firm with their dreams.
So proud of you. 🩷
If you don’t want to step out of your comfort zone, that’s fine. But don’t crucify people who are willing to explore beyond theirs. If you believe you can grow while staying in your comfort zone, then good for you. But for some people, real growth only happens once they step outside of it.
And if you shame people for making those choices, then you’re also indirectly shaming a huge portion of the population. A lot of people in real life do the exact same thing — they’re just not in the spotlight for everyone to judge their decisions 🤷
some ppl may never understand why artists choose to step outside their comfort zones, but i honestly respect heeseung even more for it. it takes courage to prioritize your passion, your artistry, and the future you truly want for yourself 🤍
