@SteveGMcDonough@Anthony_Pugh2 After his gather he jump stops and lands simultaneously with both feet Frm this point the player can CHOOSE which foot he pivots off of since the landed on the floor at the same time.He pivots on his right foot the video claims his left is his pivot This isn’t accurate. Bad call
@SteveGMcDonough@Anthony_Pugh2 Also,, this clip is in accurate. The ball handler has his L foot on the ground at the time of his father- so that isn’t his pivot foot. If he were to attempt an uncontested layup, and took 2 steps from that position we’d say it’s good fundamentals not a travel- same situation.
@SteveGMcDonough@Anthony_Pugh2 I read your rule. Im coming from a point experience. From my experience playing in NCAA DII, coaching jr kids and a running a varsity program, pivoting out of a jump stop is legal. Officials talk kids out of travel violations but encouraging them to use a jump stop first….
@SteveGMcDonough@Anthony_Pugh2 You can absolutely pivot off a jump stop. That’s why fundamental coaches teach jump stops! A travel isn’t committed until the pivot foot touches the ground again. Picking up a pivot foot isn’t a violation. If it were, any jump shot would be a travel. Legal move!
Proud of all that @JoeBiden and his administration have accomplished these last few years. He’s delivered for the American people — and he’ll continue to do so once he’s re-elected.
Let’s get to work! https://t.co/eEt7bAueIT
