Looks like Elon is officially deploying the X clean up playbook towards the government…

Elon fired 80% of X employees within months of him taking over.

2.7M people work for the Federal Government which amounts to $400B in wages.

It seems rather likely that unemployment is going to show a move higher if Elon is serious about this, and if it does, the 8M “jobs” available via JOLTS will come into question as new job openings may attempt to be filled.

If those jobs aren’t real, we may just see higher unemployment…which means the Fed may end up cutting rates sooner.
