Why lie about what the verse says?

James 2:24
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

This just got done using Abraham as the example. James is not saying Abraham was saved by works nor is he saying Abraham was justified to God. His works justified his faith to MAN. We are the witnesses.

Romans 4:2-10

2 For IF Abraham WERE justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but NOT before GOD.

3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was counted unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward NOT reckoned of GRACE, but of debt.

5 But to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness WITHOUT WORKS,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that FAITH was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision (taking Isaac up the mountain), but in uncircumcision. (Gen 15)

There are 2 types of justification.

-Before God by faith and NOT of works.

-And Men, who our faith is justified by our works, because they can’t SEE our faith. A faith without works/charity doesn’t benefit the unsaved and needy and can’t lead them to Christ because our faith is action-less like a dead man has no action.

The whole subject of James is talking to SAVED people (every chapter except for 1 starts with Brethren) telling them they need to get off their butt and do works/charity because without it we don’t profit the needy. We can’t lead them to Christ with empty words of “be full” if we don’t give them the food they need. Our FAITH is then dead. Meaning it has NO action.
YOUR reading of James is flawed. YOU THINK James is saying Abraham was justified to God through His works of taking Isaac up the mountain. Abraham was circumcised on that mountain and over 100 yrs old. Gen 15 says he was justified BEFORE GOD by his faith, when he was uncircumcised at 75yrs old.
He WASN’T justified before God on the mountain. He has justified before MEN. This is James’ point. Our WORKS justify our faith before MEN because they can’t see our faith.
