Today, Britain's unelected Prime Minister Andy Burnham will meet President Donald J. Trump.

So I thought it would be a good time to remind ourselves about him and his Cabinet's statements on Trump and the MAGA movement.

THE BRITISH CABINET’S TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.

“Any UK politician who gave Trump the time of day should be ashamed right now," said Burnham in 2021.

Is he now ashamed to give Trump the time of day, as he will at the UN General Assembly in New York today?

In 2017, Burnham told the Manchester Evening News he would not meet Trump if the president visited Greater Manchester during a planned state visit: “It is a matter of principle that I don’t meet people who distribute hateful, extremist material."

So – has Burnham now abandoned these "principles?"

Also in that interview, Burnham said: “Greater Manchester has always stood against extremism of any kind and that includes the extreme views emanating from the Oval Office."

Are there still extreme views emanating from the Oval Office, Andy?

“I call on the Prime Minister to withdraw the invitation of a state visit,” he said at the time of Theresa May.

Now let's talk about Ed Miliband, Burnham’s Foreign Secretary:

In 2016, he said “The idea that we have shared values with a racist, misogynistic self-confessed groper beggars belief.”

He also called Trump an “idiot, a racist and a misogynist,” and said he had “lowered the bar for idiocy,” and tweeted “What an
absolute moron” about a Trump claim on UK crime.

During Trump’s 2018 UK visit, Miliband joined the anti-Trump march and wrote that “Trump’s values are not our values,” accused him of legitimising authoritarian politics, and joked that “his combover is an absurdity.”

Miliband has also criticised Trump’s “incredibly peculiar relationship with Russia” and more recently dismissed Trump’s social-media criticism of UK North Sea policy as “irrelevant.”

Now Wes Streeting (Defence Secretary).

In 2017, Streeting said: “Trump is such an odious, sad, little man. Imagine being proud to have that as your President.”

He also signed a 2019 motion criticizing Trump’s record (misogyny, racism, xenophobia) and opposing a state visit. More recently (2026) he called some of Trump’s Iran-related social-media posts “incendiary, provocative, outrageous."

And trust me, there's a LOT more from the rest of the Cabinet.

Americans for Justice In Palestine Action held their training sessions at The Westin Alexandria Old Town yesterday, which is also where they departed from this morning to Capitol Hill where the pro-Hamas Islamic organization will be meeting with US lawmakers.

I have obtained the schedule and training manual for Amercians for Justice in Palestine, which is holding their 12th Annual Palestine Advocacy Days today.

Despite the House being out till after the midterms, these pro-Hamas “activists” are meeting with US lawmakers from the House and the Senate to lobby for the Palestinian agenda.

Their entire agenda has been scripted for them by an Islamic organization and they have been given a PDF with scripted questions and talking points for lawmakers about the need for lawmakers to support more Islamic causes.

It’s interesting how the House is out till the end of the midterm elections, but members came back to meet with a Palestinian lobby whose members were washing their feet in the Senate bathrooms last year and crowding the halls of the Senate offices to pray on the floor on Islamic prayer mats.

Why is the GOP controlled House and Senate allowing this?

Does this motivate Republicans to vote in the midterms when our lawmakers allow for the House and Senate to be flooded with terror sympathizers dressed in full Islamic garb?

This is disgusting. Hopefully @SpeakerJohnson and @LeaderJohnThune address this.
