@gietzschean The one missing piece of the puzzle for traditionalist aesthetes is the realization that beauty is the lovechild of truth and goodness. The world became uglier when it turned away from the divine
@jun_song As AI emerged, it mostly trained on human output hence the organic feel. Now some AI is training on its own output, hence the robotic feel. This plastic feel will increase value for authentic human content. AI and humans will co-exist with symbiotic improvements.
@MatthewBerman Twin studies show about 70% nature. But looking at how communities evolve after losing their traditions, it seems to me that the spiritual life of the person, combined with other nurtural elements, have at least as much impact on outcomes as the genetic.
@petersavodnik You both miss the point. First, that leisure does not exist for work, but work for leisure..and second, that leisure is not simply bonding time, but time spent contemplating truth..the highest form of which is worship. Work for worship is alien to all moderns.
@sapphicnightowl @sdbrasiliense I don't think your claims to bodily autonomy extends to madness such as consensual cannibalism, or does it? I also don't think you'd approve of consensual gore. If this is true, then, it'd seem that you believe in human dignity, only that you want it separated from chastity.
@Franc1pct It's a spiritual battle. Your body is not just matter and brain..you have a spiritual soul that craves for infinite goodness.
So, in addition to working on the body, which you're doing very well, you have to involve the supernatural. This will save you lots of vain effort.
@Kristof_Poland Checks and balances are good but ultimately even Instituions need to rooted in The Truth lest they become cooperators in evil as we see in modern secular states. Hence the value of conservativism. Also we must explicitly state what this tradition is to avoid neopaganism.
@ZubyMusic Don't blame the government too much @ZubyMusic. The guys in power are only there because a critical part of the population supports them. You'll scarcely see them on twitter but they're there..rooting for tyranny and mediocrity.
@bluewmist It's an unpopular yet implicitly accepted opinion, which is exactly why the world is devoid of drive. The ephemeral can never inspire as much energy and devotion as the sacred eternal.
@romanhelmetguy As long as the right remains liberal it will remain confused while gradually sliding left. The only way to survive is to worship The Way and acknowledge that all politics must serve him.
@Nostre_damus Iran's leadership is driven more by hatred than love. People that love their fellows, even their enemies, which in this world means merely tolerating their right to exist grow more than those bent on destruction. The Gulf has nations that have more love
@mahaveez@newstart_2024 What is utilitarianism based on, except that good outcomes are good for their own sake - worship of the good cannot be avoided if life is to be preserved. Now think, what is goodness, at its essence?
@lancevideos@catholicpat It's easy to throw trillions of government money at people and pretend that you're doing your best. This is the same approach that has seen the West give up the care of their women and elderly to the government. Disastrous consequences.
