Gather 'round, children. By *ahem* popular demand, I have a story to tell you.
It involves a 7 million-year-old-skull, a missing femur, camel herders and scientific INTRIGUE.
It's one of my favorite stories. It's also why paleoanthropology is lowkey my favorite thing.
@eveewing Tbh, seeing some numbers comparing gens makes me feel better. I feel less like a screwup at still being so poor when i see it's systemic, and not just me being irresponsible or bad with money.
I purchased some amazing risotto to go from @lagunitasbeer . It melted thru the bag in the brewery, but i salvaged most. Then, the wind from the storm blew the rest of it completely away. I couldn't even salvage the container. Out $, and out yummy food. :(
In this case i am being a B, but the amount of effort it took multiple people, including myself, to get Black artists with YEARS of experience onto the stage *after* Other artists with little to no relationship...well, i am not amused. And i refuse to chill.
I'm not trying to be rude, but loyalty is loyalty. And while i will always tell my friends if they're wrong...still i will always take their side. Even of they are bigger people and tell me not to worry about it.
At Chicago Blues for my friend Jimmy's 90th. Driving up from the Southside can't compare to the guys who came from Brazil. Or the guys from France. Or the guy who flew in for 24hrs from Europe. Just to see him play. #blues
Four years ago today, Cleveland police killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was in a playground with a toy gun.
We remember Tamir’s life and honor his mother as she spends Thanksgiving without her youngest child.
Police reform cannot wait. #BlackLivesMatter#Tamirs4thAnniversary
Comment: The Earth’s remaining wilderness areas are important buffers against climate change and something must be done to prevent them from disappearing completely, warn James E. M. Watson, James R. Allan and colleagues. https://t.co/9GKK4mCBet
