We were thrilled that we were able to donate a gift to “Not These Ovaries” during Give Miami Day. Giving closes Thursday, Nov 21, 11:59pm. Our donation will help fund critical research for young women with ovarian cancer. Emily never imagined that at 33, she would be diagnosed with stage 3B ovarian cancer. That’s why they created a nonprofit to fight for her life and other women diagnosed. Emily is cancer free today.

Veronica has dedicated her life to creating artwork about social justice, ecological awareness, and equality. She observes human behavior, weaving them into visual narratives. Creation is her life – a way of living that defines my very essence.

Brook Dorsch, the founder of the Emerson Dorsch Gallery in Miami, was at his home in Asheville, North Carolina when Hurricane Helene stormed through the beloved city known as an art colony, a healing resort and a home to notable luminaries, statesmen and bohemians.

In this episode of Art Lovers Forum, Brook describes the force of the hurricane, the destruction, and the fast action efforts to save his house. With him at the time was of his wife and business partner Tyler, their young daughters and coincidentally their gallery director, Ibett Yanez del Castillo, who was visiting on that day with her family.

Everyone pitched in to place buckets where water was pouring in after hundred-year-old trees fell on their house. Together they limited the damage and when the rain stopped, they ran out to help neighbors. That’s the way it has been ever since. Brook says Asheville has shown its true colors. Every day the citizens of the city are devoting time to get everyone back home and rebuild their businesses. So many of the arts and crafts work have been destroyed forever. You cry when you hear him describe what happened to the art community.

One statement Brook made that is very important to convey in writing as well as to hear from him is …. FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) has been doing exceptional work in Asheville with both finances and people on the ground. Any news information to the contrary is just not true. FEMA is working side by side with Asheville, a city Brook says will be in full swing a few months from now. Yes, there will always be residents that need help. The community will continue to support each other.

Sunny’s Steakhouse In Miami’s Little River Neighborhood Is The Biggest, Delightful Surprise Ever

Just letting you know that the Little River neighborhood in Miami is going to be where all the new exquisite and hot new restaurants will be located. Sunny Steakhouse at 7357 NW Miami CT is leading the way.

Our friends Alison Davis and Jan Gerits of City Life Guru took us there last night and we were shocked to see what is developing in a neighborhood that just devoted to commercial businesses.

Sunny’s is a 13,000 square foot, 220-seat restaurant that has so many indoor and outdoor elegant rooms you will feel like you have traveled to a far away luxury destination.

It’s pricey but you can share several dishes to limit what you spend. However, the steaks and pastas are delicious so you are going to get a great meal.

Of course the crowd is super fashionable and filled with influencers but that is to be expected in any new Miami place. The staff treats you completely first class so that’s refreshing too.

Everyday, from now to November 5th, I will be working the phones to get all “Blue Votes.” I have access to the super software program that allows me to make calls from any location on my new iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s amazing how quickly I learned the user friendly program and how nice everyone is on the other end. Thank you @clifton_childree, who received my call, listened to my spiel, answered my questions and then shared a good laugh that we were personal friends. My concentration was so deep that I couldn’t think of anything but getting everyone out to vote. Who will I contact next? Two hours a day will keep the wrong guys away

HWH PR started out in 1977 directly across the street from the fabulous
La Grenouille on East 52nd Street. Eliot and I spent a fortune entertaining clients who flew in from all over the world just to dine there.
The legendary French restaurant, located at 3 East 52nd Street, announced that it’s closing its doors this week.

We will never forget the day when hundreds of folks stood outside the restaurant to witness gossip columnist Liz Smith taking Ivana Trump to lunch at Le Grenouille after Donald ditched her for Marla Maples. Pandemonium broke out on the street just to get a glimpse of Ivana and Liz. The ladies wound up on the front page of the Daily News. We watched it all from our office windows.

​Owner Philippe Masson, whose parents Charles and Gisele founded the French restaurant in 1962, will be pursuing other dreams.

La Grenouille has long been a New York institution, famed for its flower displays, gilded luxury and luminary clientele. Among its devotees were Gregory Peck, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sidney Poitier, Salvador Dali, Sophia Loren, David Bowie, Truman Capote, Lee Radziwill a veritable who's who of the world's most beautiful and celebrated. The restaurant's loyal patrons added to the glamour and exuberance that was always in the air at La Grenouille, where power lunches and grand dinners were for the elite.
