What I find to be so devastating about videos like this is not just the horror of playtime being interrupted by bombs, leaving some of the children frantic and the young boy too stunned to move. What stands out to me is the casual exchange that happens in the background. /1
We have been so used to the images of complete, unimaginable carnage coming out of Gaza for the past 7 weeks that it has, in a sense, obscured the true scale of Israel's destruction.
This is Beit Lahia, what is left of it, a city of what was almost 90,000 people in Gaza's north.
This street in Al-Nusairat refugee camp was containing many restaurants, it’s all got destroyed and even if it’s still working there is no materials for them to cook and sell food.
Hi from Al-Nusairat refugee camp
It’s in the middle area of the strip and a lot of massacres occurred here.
It’s a (Pause) I don’t know what the hell is that but people went out to the market to see if there is anything to buy.
Please don’t laugh at me riding the donkey cart, I even started driving a car and not the best driver ever
A man follows Israeli occupation forces instructions and leaves his home holding a white flag.
His son comes with him and is shot in the head by fascist Israeli soldiers.
Invading an elementary school and filming yourself smashing certificates honouring talented students will definitely serve Israel well in its propaganda war!
Surprise. Israel got caught lying…again. The “tunnels” under Al Shifa in Gaza miraculously are in Sweden. It would be funny if it didn’t mean thousands more being terrorized and slaughtered while US politicians and media will use their “evidence” to justify ongoing genocide.
the most heart wrenching sentence I’ve ever read: “The boy keeps asking for his parents, and he wants to get up and walk, but his parents are dead and his legs have been amputated.”
We are actually debating whether or not invading a hospital — one where newborn babies are on incubators, people are using as shelters and patients are undergoing surgeries without anesthesia — is legal, moral and ethical. This is truly the bottom.
I saw a video the other day of Palestinian parents sifting through charred remains of little hands and legs trying to identify their kids.
But congratulations on this.
I just watched a video of a little girl in Gaza with her lower legs blown off and tourniquets wrapped around her thighs to stop her bleeding out. She was in so much pain she couldn’t even scream. But sure, Palestinian flags and protesters calling for a ceasefire are terrifying.
It looks like the movie set of a zombie apocalypse. Decomposing bodies litter the streets - many wrapped in blankets in vain. This is your moral superiority?
