PVE mode in ARC Raiders kinda got boring after a few raids.
ARC dies extremely quickly, people are all trying to loot the same thing, and there was a complete lack of tension.
I don’t think PVE is necessarily a BAD idea either…
But the reality is ARC Raiders doesn’t have a strong enough end game to support a meaningful PVE experience.
It just feels hollow.
Sure it’s probably cool for the casual gamer who barely has time to level things up, but I won’t be surprised if most people get bored after a couple of weeks.
I’ve always said the magic of ARC Raiders was somewhere in the middle.
Just enough tension to make you look over your shoulder, but not a straight bloodbath either.
The unknown, the mixed lobbies, and unpredictable is where it thrives.
Maybe people will enjoy it, but I also understand why the devs abandoned releasing the game like this.
It is legitimately boring after a few runs.
Time will tell!

1. “We didn’t cheat.”
2. “And if we cheated, it wasn’t that bad.”
3. “And if it was, cheating didn’t make much difference.”
4. “And if it did, everyone else was cheating.”
5. “And if they weren’t cheating, the rules were unfair anyway.”
6. “And even if we cheated, you only care because we beat you.”
7. “And if we beat you, we beat you on the field.”
The Korean Dystopia Narrative is such a lucrative export for this country. People overseas lap it up, it provides western copium, & it feeds into all sorts of unconscious biases; meanwhile Koreans just drink ice americano and get on with life like normal people in a safe country.
@Pirat_Nation Not one to attack devs but Embark crying burnout is tilting. Burned out from what? In a year, we got 2 maps, 3 guns, and some bots. They took a month-long vacation right after launch in a LIVE SERVICE game. Game's buggier than ever. CEO had a 5-month break at EA. Must be nice.
