The super secret project I've been working on at a frantic pace the last couple of weeks for @LolavanElla came to fruition last night at @MONDOLUCHA
I hope it leads some wrestlers to my site to get some gear made! I don't just make clothes for strippers~
He then proceeded to question multiple people in our group if we were gay because he just couldn’t IMAGINE a world in which femmes would be hanging out in his sacred GAY MAN™️ space. 🫠🙃🙄
But seriously, otherwise, Decadence was great!
My favorite (not really) part of Decadence was going into Grand Pre’s for the after party after marching in the parade with all of my GAY friends and went into the bathroom with the urinals because the line was shorter and this older Man mumbles “I thought this was a gay bar…”
Someone just messaged me asking for a Can Can dancer and then followed up with, “could be a young person or child because this is a wholesome event”
Ma’am. MA’AM.
…I’m grateful that I get to do this for my job. I paid over 140K to independent artists in 2023. The Bordella is doing really well. I have a wonderful support system. And it’s my birthday and I’m starting to feel better. I’m excited to celebrate life and love with my friends.
It’s my birthday. I’m driving alone with a cold to St. Louis. I hardly slept because the thunder was so loud and Chappy was scared. I woke up to 12K being taken out of my account for taxes (literally). I wish ticket sales were a bit higher. I miss my mom. But even with all this
Anyway, this tweet brought to you by both my grandma and Chappy getting really old and my constant thoughts of the truth of that. Life is so precious and short and love is EVERYTHING. I really really REALLY miss my mom, but I’m so lucky to have love.
Notes on grief and loss: 🧵
My mother died 5 years ago, and since then I’ve had the exact same banner photo on Facebook, which is a triptych of photos of her/us. I keep thinking (for the last few years) that I should change it to promo a show or for anything but I just…can’t.
And I notice it every now and then, especially when it seems like a time I should be utilizing my social media in that way. It seems so so silly, but it is this melancholy reminder of her not being here, and how if she were here, how much better life would be, and so it stays.
