@holydiiiver@VanJones68 The NBA is starting a European league for the 2027-2028 season. Two of the teams will be in France. Yes, the NBA absolutely wants Wemby to be the face of the league and his team to win championships leading up to this expansion.
@RunUpNYK The NBA is creating a European league starting in the 2027 season. It will have two teams in France. What better way to promote than to have Wemby as the face of the NBA leading up to it.
@Strongpeople72@LStokes434296@adwepd293@travbryanmusic@okcthunder Only twitter brain rot talking points care about the falls. I just want my team to win. And more power to Brunson for trying to draw fouls. I hope he becomes more successful at it for his teams sake.
@Strongpeople72@LStokes434296@adwepd293@travbryanmusic@okcthunder Yeah, and I don’t care that he falls or doesn’t fall. Like I said, Shai gets more FTs because 1. He has a higher drive percentage. 2. He’s better at drawing attention the foul. Whatever it takes to score. It’s smart.
@Strongpeople72@LStokes434296@adwepd293@travbryanmusic@okcthunder Read the first sentence of this post. Whether you like it or not, Brunson has the same reputation as SGA, he just hasn’t been a 2 x MVP YET so gets less hate. Shai is smart to try and get to the line. They are fouling him.
It looks worse because Jalen Brunson is undersized and exaggerates every contact like a certain guy the (younger but bigger) Spurs guards just eliminated.
San Antonio has clearly made Brunson the ultimate focal point of their defensive game plan by sending extra attention his way, and their length is bothering him but it's about to get worse.
Whether it is Stephon Castle applying intense physical pressure at the point of attack or Victor Wembanyama lurking in the paint to alter his floaters, the Spurs are forcing Brunson into highly contested, low-percentage looks.
Look at his shooting splits:
Game 1: 30 points | 12-of-31 FG (38.7%) | 2-of-8 3PT (25%)
Game 2: 20 points | 7-of-25 FG (28.0%) | 2-of-8 3PT (25%)
Series Total: 19-of-56 FG (33.9%) | 4-of-16 3PT (25.0%)
For a player who relies on precise footwork and elite mid-range efficiency, sub-34% shooting from the floor is a massive anomaly and if the Spurs execute their game plan by running all three Slash brothers at the same time, like they did when they came from behind in 11 minutes during Game 2, it's about to get even uglier.
You don't have to agree or believe it. Just tune in Monday night.

@Strongpeople72@LStokes434296@adwepd293@travbryanmusic@okcthunder I see your point. Congrats, Brunson is selling less calls (even though selling calls is, unfortunately, also what he is known for). It doesn’t change the fact that SGA was also hard fouled the entirety of their series as well, the vast majority uncalled.
