Zoroark Match: They got a pretty solid start on me while I was stuck with basics and by turn 3, I manage to build everything out and they weren't able to get a Zekrom out for another 2 turns and by then I was already 3 prizes in. GGs Starmi Match: I started off with Fez and used it as an attacker for backline until I could building Hydrapple. while also using hammers to prevent the starmi from attacking early on. Took down the Starmi and Mega Froslass for GGs Excadrill Match: This match up should have been a auto loss for me but I ended up getting the upper hand quickly by building up faster than Excadrill. Kept taking out the drilburs and using hammers to slow them down. Eventually got to a point where I was able to seal the deal with Xerosic and Unfair stamp to put them in a bad spot. Dragapult Match: Weird deck that had some Team Rocket Chingling used in it. Which he did manage to get rid of a boss orders and a red card that I needed late game to win. End up prize trading for a bit but ended up as a tie at the end. Grimsnarl Match: This was ironically my toughest match up. Came into the game thinking I would just quickly dispose Grimsnarl 3 times to win but they never came out. The player kept threatening Grim to come out to take away my attention from his true intentions and learned real quick to respect the Froslass damage by turn 7. Started using rippening charge to heal damage off Fez and Teal masks on board. Set up up my 2nd Hydrapple to fight and used bosses order to take out the Froslass line one by one. Opponent used boss to try and take out my Meowth on the next turn but I attached an energy and used rippening charge so i can tuck tail and get all those energys back and a chance to get bosses out with meowth once more. Getting me the win on the next 2 turns at the player conceded. Happy with the outcome, and happy to see my hard work paying off. Really excited to see how my deck does at Regionals this December 🤲
