@AbiAbnormal @ChipShopBird You know him well do you? Well enough to call him awful? He fought in the war and worked and promoted this country for over 70 years. Did he sometimes say the wrong thing? 100% yes. But so did so many people elderly grandparents. I know mine did.
@peacockdyke@JaneWhiting @josibrianm @biminibabes Which I’m very glad about. There is some classic humour and history in that scene which would be sad to lose.
@MarcusSantiagoV @UKHospKate Protecting the hospitality industry is her job, it won’t be that she doesn’t care, but her role is as CEO of UK Hospitality, providing the voice of that industry.
@Avril50319760@nytimes Oh dear. I really don’t know where to start with you tweet. Apart from being written terribly, it is also ill informed and blatantly incorrect. The majority of Brits do love our Queen. There is no evidence of the Queen being racist, in face she is head of the commonwealth.

It's Presidents Day in the US and once upon a time I read a biography of every single US president so I may as well make use of that useless knowledge. Here is a thread of the wildest tweet-sized fact I know about each president:

1/ Things seem really bad at the moment. That's because things ARE really bad at the moment. But I wanted to share a perspective that might encourage you a little.
@KathyBurke It’s so frustrating! People just don’t seem to get it. I’m still working (in a restaurant doing take away) and the amount of people who came in to ask for a table, while not wearing a mask blew my mind.
