Athletics to the mooooon 🚀🤑

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has announced a landmark $385 million investment in 70 sports, including athletics, to prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With 95% of summer Olympic and Paralympic sports receiving a 64% average annual funding increase compared to the Paris 2024 cycle, the initiative supports athletes at all levels.

This is the first ASC funding strategy to encompass grassroots participation to elite high-performance programs, aligning with its “Win Well” and “Play Well” strategies to foster world-class pathways and sustained sporting success for Australia.
