🚨 FREE AGENT SPECIALISTS — THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU. 🚨
We’re excited to put together our first TLK Free Agent Specialist Workout.
The goal is simple: create an environment that feels as close to an NFL workout as possible and give you an opportunity to prove you’re ready to go.
This event is built specifically for Kickers, Punters, and Long Snappers who are still looking for their next opportunity.
We’ll start with a structured charting/workout portion designed to showcase the skills teams want to see at each position. After charting, we’ll transition into a competition period where you’ll have the opportunity to perform under pressure and compete against other professional-level specialists.
TrackMan will be on site, and you’ll receive the film and verified data from your workout so you have current, credible footage to send to your agent and NFL, UFL, and CFL teams.
As the season gets going, having recent film showing that you’re healthy, consistent, and ready to play right now can be extremely valuable.
This isn’t just about coming out and hitting footballs.
Come prepared. Get verified. Compete. Walk away with film that shows teams you’re ready when your phone rings.
💰 $150 per specialist

Where are my soccer players at?
As a coach, one challenge I work through is helping guys build good kicking habits while they’re in soccer season. Playing soccer naturally benefits your kicking early on, but as you get more serious about kicking, it can start to affect your fundamentals.
For example, in soccer, you use multiple foot angles when striking the ball, and you’re often trying to keep the ball down—meaning your follow-through tends to finish lower. This can carry over into football and impact your kicking mechanics. When we kick a football, we want to keep our foot in the same spot at contact every single time.
Here’s some work I did with David Faulk. His tendency was to keep his feet too close together, similar to how soccer players stand for a free kick. This was causing his jab step to be too big, leading to inconsistent ball contact and trajectory. By staggering his feet into a more traditional kicker stance, we shortened his jab step, allowing him to flow smoothly into his drive step. The results showed immediately—another great example of an athlete being coachable and making quick improvements.
For those balancing soccer and kicking, I have a simple suggestion: after soccer practice, take 10-20 minutes to kick some footballs. It doesn’t have to be a long session, but spending time focusing on your swing will only help you in the long run!

Backed Up Part ✌️
Priority #1: NO BLOCKED PUNTS
Priority #2: Flip the Field
When you’re backed up, let’s just say the ball’s on the 2-yard line, so you’re dealing with a crammed operation. As a punter, your role is to get out there, find the back line, then move up about half a foot to give yourself some extra room in case you get a bad snap or take a false step back. You do NOT want your heels lined up with the back of the end zone.
In this situation, the entire operation will be faster. That means your hands need to be quicker, your footwork needs to be faster, and your mental process needs to speed up too. It’s crucial to do this training during your off-season practice so you’re ready when it happens.
I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful! If you have any questions, drop them in the comments. And if this video helps you, please share it!

Something I talk to my guys about all the time is the mental game. My mental game in high school was mediocre at best. When I got to college, I started taking it more seriously. I began visualizing my kicks the night before games, and I noticed a major difference when I stayed focused throughout the entire game. By improving in those two areas, my numbers improved dramatically.
When I transitioned to the NFL, I started visualizing not just the night before games but also before practices. I incorporated positive affirmations into my daily routine and worked hard to maintain positive self-talk. Positive self-talk was especially important for me because, like many of you, I expected perfection from myself all the time. When I wasn’t perfect, I was pretty harsh on myself, which wasn’t helping me improve. So, I made adjustments.
As I progressed in the NFL, my focus improved year after year. My self-talk got better, my confidence grew, and my preparation improved. I became more confident in the drill work I was doing off the field and more committed to the game plan every day at practice. By leaving no gray area, I ensured that I was always prepared.
Do the little things, the little things matter! Here’s what I noticed.
•High school players: Do the little things right sometimes.
•College players: Do the little things right most of the time.
•NFL players: Do the little things right every time.

Something I’ve heard throughout my career is ‘the more you can do.’ My dad always challenged me to work equally hard at all three phases of the kicking game. He told me that one day it would make a difference, and he was right. Being able to perform all three phases at an elite level is what secured my spot in the NFL. For young players out there: you don’t have to be an All-American in all three phases of the game, but be elite at one and a strong backup option in the others. This will make you more valuable to any team. As the college game continues to change this is going to become more important! I urge all my guys to be able to do more!
